Xiaomi’s First Electric Vehicle: The SU7 A New Era of Mobility - Jobifypk
Xiaomi has recently unveiled its first electric vehicle, the SU7. The car was announced three years ago, with CEO Lei Jun pledging a significant investment of 10 billion yuan (1.4 billion USD). The SU7 is an all-electric sedan that will rival the BMW i4 and Tesla Model 3 when it goes on sale in China in the first half of 2024. The car is being produced by Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. (BAIC), a government-owned Chinese car manufacturer, on contract with Xiaomi. The SU7 comes in three different trims: SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max. The premium AWD dual-motor version makes 663 hp and weighs a substantially heftier 4,861 lbs. The SU7 is positioned in the vehicle landscape similar to the Tesla Model S’s packaging, albeit with a slightly longer wheelbase than that car. The specific trims available at launch are the SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max. Xiaomi has not yet announced whether the car will be sold outside of China.
